Frequently Asked Questions

Is The Traveler reusable?

Yes! That's the whole point. Load it up with a roll of 35mm film, shoot the whole roll, get it developed, and load it again. The Traveler is built to last and go everywhere with you.

What film does The Traveler use?

Any standard 35mm color or black and white film. We recommend Kodak Gold 200 for warm, rich tones — it's our favourite for travel, weddings, and everyday shooting.

Does The Traveler come with film?

Film is not included with the camera. You can add a roll to your order when you shop — or grab The Starter Kit which includes the camera and a roll of Kodak Gold 200.

What battery does it need?

One AA battery powers the flash (not included). Without a battery the camera still works — you just won't have flash.

When should I use the flash?

Any time you're indoors, in low light, or shooting in shade. In bright natural light you don't need it. When in doubt, turn it on — it's better to have it and not need it than miss a shot.

My flash won't turn on — what should I do?

First check that your AA battery is inserted correctly. If the battery is fresh and the flash still won't ignite, give it a few seconds after turning on — the flash needs a moment to charge before it's ready to shoot.

How do I get my film developed?

Take your finished roll to any local photo lab or camera store — most cities have at least one. You can also mail it in to an online lab. We recommend The Darkroom for mail-in development, they do a great job and will send you digital scans.

How do I get my photos onto my phone?

When you get your film developed, ask for digital scans. Most labs include them automatically or offer them as an add-on. You'll receive a link to download your photos digitally — ready to share, print, or keep forever.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — we ship worldwide. International shipping rates and delivery times are calculated at checkout.
